WILMINGTON - George Haskell died peacefully on August 2, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in New York, NY and raised in Harlem and Hempstead, NY, George was a graduate of Hempstead High School. George was an Eagle Scout who nurtured his love of the outdoors with fly fishing, camping and hunting whenever possible. As a natural investigator, George built an impressive career in loss prevention and security, rising to Vice President of Security for Radio City Productions. Because of his extensive work protecting government officials, celebrities and esteemed international visitors, he earned honorary positions with multiple national security organizations.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Rosalind, his sister Carol and his brother Gene.
George is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Elizabeth Haskell, his devoted daughter Tracey Lynne Haskell, stepdaughter Rebecca Labonne, stepson Daniel Browne and the lights of his life; step-grandchildren Gage and Keir Labonne and Hailey and Alyssa Browne; many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends near and far.
Per his wishes the service will be private.
