WILMINGTON: It is with great sadness that the family of Harold Radford announce his passing November 20th 2024 at Novant Health Center in Wilmington N.C.

He was preceded in death by his father, Milford Radford and his mother Ann Sutton.
Surviving are his wife of 15 years, Tania Radford of the home.
Harold was a great father to Tania’s two children whom Harold knew since they were born,
Michelle Howard and husband Brian and their daughter Mikayla (Ellis) Howard of Wake Forest N.C. As well of son Hunter Klein and his wife McKenzie Klein and their two sons, Avett and Gibson Klein of Wilmington N.C.
Harold was the best Poppy to his grandchildren and he lit up with he saw them.
He is also survived by his brother Carroll Radford of Leland, sister’s Patricia Pye, Joyce Rutti and a brother Mickey Radford all of Mobile Alabama and a sister Jenny Bryant of New Bern N.C.
Harold had many nieces, nephews and dear cousins whom he loved so very much.
Harold was a graduate of New Hanover High School. Upon graduating, he traveled the United States working as a Pipefitter with Brown & Root, Exxon and Daniels.
Back home he started working for United Insulation Co. Inc. of Wilmington N.C. for many years where Harold was Project Superintendent at International Paper Mill in Riegelwood N.C. for many years.
Harold had a love of the ocean. He enjoyed fishing, sunning and swimming. That’s where he would be when he wasn’t working. Harold enjoyed cooking out with family and friends, watching Nascar all season (which he got to see to the end this year), a great love of music and concerts. Oh…and driving a riding lawnmower.
Harold had a smile & a laugh like no other. Tania said his eyes would twinkle. He knew someone everywhere he went. A truly wonderful husband, father, Poppy, brother and friend to all that knew him.
At Harold’s request, no service will be held. Harold had said, “Let family & friends remember the Love & Friendship they shared forever and always in their hearts”.
