October 2, 1952 — July 13, 2023

She was born on October 2, 1952 in Washington, DC, to Dominick P. lascone and Frances Cora lascone (nee Bell), both deceased. After high school in 1970, she began working for the Central Intelligence Agency. She loved working there supporting technical services and was awarded a Career Commendation Medal upon retirement in 2009. She then volunteered as a database manager for a retiree organization associated with her former career service and also worked for American Systems for nearly six years.

Joanna was married to Terry A. Kamerer for 26 years during which time they raised two fine stepchildren, Debbie and Thomas, who she loved dearly. Joanna and Terry divorced in 2003.

In August 2020, she moved from Alexandria, VA, to Wilmington, NC, with her long-time boyfriend Daniel C. Moore so she could be closer to her stepdaughter's family. Danny and Joanna married on February 25, 2023, after living and living together over 16 years.

Her many interests included collecting theorem paintings, bowling, animals, The Beatles, and the Washington Nationals. She loved her country and family. She was of a more libertarian mindset than people knew and recommended the books Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand and the 5,000 Year Leap by W. Cleon Skousen to anyone who seemed interested in understanding and preserving the Republic.

Joanna leaves behind her husband, Daniel C. Moore, and their loving kitties Noodle and Callie. She's survived by her stepdaughter Debbie (Donnie) Nungesser of Wilmington, NC, stepson Thomas (Patty) Kamerer of Springfield, VA, her nieces Abby Burleyson (Casey) and Jennifer Robbins, nephew Scott Sauro, and her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and grandniece/nephews. She also leaves behind her siblings who she lovingly referred to as her littermates, Rhoanna Sauro of Valdosta, GA, and brother Dominick lascone of Chesapeake Beach, MD.
