Laurette Pepin

WILMINGTON- It is with great sadness that family announce the passing of their beloved Laurette Rita Pepin. She passed-away peacefully on Tuesday, May 24th at Lower Cape Fear Life Center, Wilmington, North Carolina. Laurette was the first child and daughter born to Joseph and Pauline Gauthier of North Smithfield, Rhode Island on September 7, 1946. She was married to Leon Pepin in May, 1970, and was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her loving husband Leon, daughter Dorene Field, son-in-law Matt Field and 4 grandchildren, Kate, Angele, Patrick and Peter of Port Macquarie, Australia. Laurette is survived by her sister Alice Lambert of Florida and was preceded in death by her parents Joseph. And Pauline, and her younger brother, Joseph (Joey). Laurette was both a meticulous bookkeeper by trade and homemaker by devotion. She will always be remembered as a beloved "Memere" by her grandchildren. Laurette fought her battle with cancer with the utmost of determination and bravery for 5 years.
A Mass service will be held at St Mark Catholic Church at 1013 Eastwood Road on June 6, 2022 at 10:00 AM.
