Mellisa Leigh Kern Chappell

LELAND: Melissa Leigh Kern Chappell - Born October 4,1978, in Yuba City CA. Died April 14, 2023 at home. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and daughter. She was proceeded by her grandparents: Arthur and Annie Cain, and Carolyn Cavasos. Cousins: Keith Cain and Chalmer Williams. She leaves behind a devoted husband of 25 years,Thomas Chappell. and their three sons: Patrick, Jeremy, and Nathan. Brothers: James Kern and Brandon Kern. Her loving parents: Pat and Sandy Kern. Paternal grandfather James Cavasos. She was an honor Graduate of Psychology at UNC-Wilmington. She was working on her Master’s Degree before she became sick. Her greatest attribute was her selflessness as she went out of her way to help family, friends and even strangers with whatever they needed. As per her request there will be no funeral or visitation. There will be a day of remembrance at her parents house on 29 April 2023.
