PINK HILL - Michelle Katheryn Yates Born 30th Sep.1975 arrived at the golden gate to heaven on 5th
Sep. 2022, after her 8-year fight with Metastatic Ovarian Cancer. Michelle was strong in her
faith and was a very spiritual person. Her beliefs in our heavily father with the
understanding to know that one day, she would live in heaven surrounded by her loved
ones and live a life pain free with peace, brought her comfort on her worst days.
Her favorite sayings were.
“You will never know unless you try”
“Smile because you don’t own all the problems in the world”
“Don’t let your past affect your future”
Michelle was a long-time resident of Rose Hill NC. In 2021, she moved to Pink Hill to
live out her final days near her family. She will be reunited with her loved ones who passed
prior. Mother- Judy C Greenhalgh, Grandmother- Ellen B Thigpen, Nephew- Elijah Joseph
Robinson of Pink Hill, and her beloved Fur baby Nugget.
Michelle leaves behind, Her Father Michael W Greenhalgh of Rose Hill, her brother
Michael W Greenhalgh, II of Richlands, Sister Mandy Thigpen-Horner of Pink Hill, 4 nieces-
Mikah Horner of Pink Hill; Jordan Robinson, of Pink Hill; Kaitlyn Greenhalgh of Richlands;
Cheyenne Greenhalgh of Richlands. 3 nephews- Mikel Horner of Beulaville, Michael W.
Greenhalgh III of Richlands, Damian Page of Pink Hill. She is also survived by several great
nieces and nephews of Warsaw and Pink Hill.
Her services will be private and held at Tranquility Cremation by Aquamation in
