Susan Elizabeth Boykin

Susan Boykin (July 9, 1949 - June 3, 2024) was a cherished soul whose love for life was as vast as the mountains and as deep as the sea. A devoted partner to Martha Russ for 34 years, they found love in Wilmington, nurtured it in Leland, and let it bloom in Hallsboro.

A registered nurse for three decades, Susan carried a nurturing spirit that extended beyond her profession. A lover of the outdoors, she found peace in her garden, joy in fishing, and solace in the mountains she adored. Her father's companionship on his commercial fishing trips left a lasting impact on Susan, instilling in her a deep appreciation for the water.

Her life will be honored through Aquamation services provided by Tranquility Cremation by Aquamation. Susan's vibrant spirit will continue to ripple through the lives of those she touched, just as a pebble gently disturbs the tranquility of water. We remember her love, her laughter, and her legacy.
