Tracy Caldwell

August 4, 1957 — January 3, 2023

CAROLINA BEACH - Tracy Leigh Caldwell (nee Allen), 65, passed away peacefully January 3, 2023, with her loving family by her side, after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer.

Tracy was born August 4, 1957, to the late Wallace and Olive Allen, in Newton, Massachusetts, the fifth of five daughters. She graduated from West Springfield High school in Springfield, Massachusetts. She then went on to study ultrasound at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida.

She married her soulmate, Greg Caldwell, July 15, 1978. Tracy and Greg created a beautiful life and family in Clearwater, Florida, relocating to Cary, North Carolina in 1996. Tracy had a rewarding career as a Ultrasound Tech. Tracy and Greg moved to their dream retirement home in Carolina Beach, NC. There she spent lots of time enjoying the beach, boating or sun bathing by their pool.

Tracy was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, friend, and Nana. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She especially shined in her role as Nana. She had a vivacious personality and always made people laugh. She made friends everywhere she went, and people were drawn to her radiant glow. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Tracy is pre-deceased by her parents, Wallace and Olive Allen, and sister Judy. Tracy is survived by her husband Greg Caldwell, daughter and son-in-law Adam and Ashley Cubell, her son and his fiancée Eric Caldwell and Ashley Hart, and her six grandchildren, Kyleigh, Mackenzie, Ryder, Shane, Ava, and Violet. She is also survived by three sisters – Heather, Pam, and Susan.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Carolina Beach Pier on January 21, 2023 from 1 – 3 pm ET. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tracy’s name to Pancan.org where there is a dedicated page in her honor.
